The Victoria Falls are known to the local
people as "Mosi-oa-Tunya", the smoke that thunders. The great cataracts
are twice as wide and twice as high as their Niagara cousins, and on
a clear day the rising cloud of spray can be seen from a distance of
80 km.
地元の人々は、このビクトリア瀑布のことを「轟く水煙」と呼ぶ。
その規模は、幅、落差ともナイアガラと比べても２倍はあり、晴天の日には、
この水煙は８０ｋｍの彼方からでも見ることができる。
この写真は、観光用ヘリから撮影したがとても全景を捕えることはできなかった。
